AFTER YOUR procedure

You will be given pain relief tailored to the operation. If strong medication is needed you will receive a prescription to take home.

You may be drowsy or sore and recovery time will depend on the type of surgery.

You will need an adult to be with you continuously overnight if you are discharged the same day. Unaccompanied travel in taxis is unsafe and contrary to day surgery guidelines. A bed in hospital can often be arranged if you need nursing assistance overnight rather than going home alone.
